Biography
Since joining Standard Bank in 2014, Adrian Vermooten has held a variety of leadership roles across Africa in Digital Channels and Payments. Currently, he serves as the Chief Innovation Officer.
Prior to Standard Bank, Adrian held senior positions at major South African establishments including ABSA, MTN, and Rand Merchant Bank. With a strong track record for innovation, he has won various local and international awards for Best Digital Bank, Best Mobile Bank, for innovation in landing world-first initiatives in mobile banking, internet and messaging and is recognized as a leader in digital financial services and mobile telecom.
