Biography
Varun Bhandari is the Country Head for Thailand at Funding Societies, the leading SME lending FinTech platform in South East Asia. Prior to joining Funding Societies, he was a VC investor focusing on FinTech investments in South Asia with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which he initially joined through the Young Professionals Program.
Varun has over a decade of experience experience in financial services, including a stint in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in London and in social impact investing with Lok Capital in New Delhi.
He holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.
