Lance Braunstein

Biography
Lance Braunstein is a Managing Director at BlackRock and leads the Aladdin Product Group. His team is responsible for product engineering, product management, product design, and platform engineering for Aladdin, BlackRock’s end-to-end investment and operating technology platform used internally by BlackRock and delivered externally to financial institutions. Prior to joining BlackRock in April 2019, Lance was the Chief Information Officer at E*TRADE, where he was responsible for the technology strategy for the firm. He was also the CIO of OptionsHouse, a retail derivatives trading firm acquired by E*TRADE in 2016, and had spent 19 years before that at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
Lance has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Rochester, an MS in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of BlackRock, Lance is an advisor at Grand Central Tech and an Executive in Residence at Columbia University. He is currently based in New York, NY.
