Stephanie Desanges
Biography
Stephanie Desanges is originally from Boston and attended Northeastern University undergrad where she majored in Finance. She has various experiences that span across the public and private sector. She has worked 5.5 years in a variety of roles in the private sector in investment banking, private banking, and asset management at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs in New York City and London. She interned on the Northeast fundraising team for the Hillary Clinton Campaign and also interned in the office of the President and CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. She has a deep interest in international development and has helped build three organizations focused on economic development, specifically in Haiti after the earthquake: a for-profit sustainable development community in the central plateau, an impact investment fund, and a non-profit focused on the pillars of education and healthcare. She also spent two years building and scaling businesses in the Middle East based out of Dubai.
She now works in Global Business and Market Development in Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, and Digital Currencies at PayPal. She focuses on ensuring the end-to-end management of PayPal’s underlying cryptocurrency product, technology infrastructure, partnerships and regulatory foundations to drive continued growth in the space. She is also currently the Global CBDC lead. She is deeply passionate about financial inclusion and the intersection of tech, policy and finance. She has an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and an MBA from Wharton Business School.
